5 of Swords

You may smile in the face of victory – but inside you may be crying over the damage done to someone else that can’t be repaired. Consider why it’s important to you to win, and be sure it’s worth what you win – or what you lose.

The battle may be won, but if you look at the signs (clouds in the sky, choppy water, wind) the war is still ahead. You have the strength of your convictions, you’ve shed those things that no longer serve – you have the high ground. Even so, you still need to choose your battles carefully in order to be truly victorious.

A struggle has just ended, or is about to take place. Consider why you took part, or want to take part. You may smile in the face of victory – but inside you may be crying over the damage done to someone else that can’t be repaired. Was/is the outcome worth the possible price?

This is no time to let self doubt and skepticism rule. It’s time to be open change, be honest about what you want, and tread the waters of negotiation from a loving heart.
